We’ve dined at Old Town 97 before, but this was our first time at their Brentford branch after seeing its consistent 5-star reviews. We ordered Wonton Soup, Egg Fried Rice, House Special Beef Brisket in Malaysian Curry Sauce, Steamed Spareribs in Black Bean Sauce, and received Complimentary Prawn Crackers.
Most of the dishes were absolutely delicious—the beef brisket was tender, the spareribs were flavorful, and the fried rice was well-cooked. However, I was quite disappointed with the Wonton Soup. It lacked the same rich taste and quality we experienced at the Chinatown branch. The broth was bland, and the pork filling in the wontons had a slightly sour taste, which made me question its freshness. I hope the restaurant can improve this dish because everything else was great.
On a positive note, the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, and the place was clean and well-maintained. Service was efficient as well. I’d still recommend dining here, but I hope the consistency across branches improves.

Amazing service, very friendly staff. And the food, oh boy don't even get me started.. it's sooo wonderfully flavoured and the portions are enormous. So worth it. Definitely coming in all the time!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this new place in Brentford and it truly exceeded my expectations in every way. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The portion sizes were generous, leaving me fully satisfied without feeling overwhelmed.
